Sudden change in mental condition is a kind of mental disorder, which is known as mood disorder. Let us understand this condition in detail.

When changes in your mood start affecting your life, it might be possible that you are suffering from Mood Disorder. This is disorder in which person sometimes become happy and sometimes sad. In this disorder, the behaviour of the person changes very fastly. The person sometimes feel so much depressed and the next minute, he is full of self confidence.

The person suffering from this disorder mostly thinks of suicide and his social activities gets reduced, his thoughts become negative and he usually remain sad.

The symptoms of this disorder includes

  • Feeling sad most of the time
  • Feeling hungry or full
  • Obesity or weight loss
  • Too much sleep or insomnia
  • Difficulty in concentrating
  • Anxiety, depression
  • Driving vehicles improperly.

The doctors are still unaware of the exact cause of this disorder. But it is being said that genetic and environmental factors play a role in this. It is also said that it can also be due to some medicines.

Treatment

Exercise is one thing, which you should make the most important part of your daily life. Exercise helps in improving the mental health and decreasing the signs of depression.

You should take proper diet because unhealthy food decrease the formation of neurotransmitter and this increases the symptoms of mood disorder.

The person suffering from mood Disorder should not consume alcohol

The person should also take proper sleep.

You can also take Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Family therapy.

You can also go for Psychodynamic therapy.

In severe cases, consult a psychiatrist.
